Booking for a single traveler, based on sharing a room
We welcome single travelers on our tours. All tours and prices on our website are based on sharing a room with someone. We will try to match you with another single traveler of the same sex who is booked with us on the same tour. Only in case we do not have a room mate for you, will we need to book a single room for you and charge you a single supplement. In all other cases, there are no extra charges for booking as a single person.
Booking for a single traveler, based on a single room A single room is often available on our tours at an extra cost (although rooms are subject to availability). Should you wish to have a single room, you can indicate this on your booking form. The additional costs for a single room are listed at the tour page of each individual tour, as prices for single rooms are different for each tour.
Travel and cancellation insurance
We request that everyone takes out travel insurance and cancellation insurance, but in the end it's up to you to decide if you take our insurance or not.
Travel insurance can be booked with any third party, at any time before yor start your tour.
Cancellation insurance can be taken out through a third party, or we can arrange it for you, as part of your booking, if you live in The Netherlands, Belgium or Germany. Should you need to cancel and we can replace you on a tour with a paying guest, you will receive a full refund. If we cannot fill your seat on the tour with another paying guest, we will handle your cancellation as mentioned in our terms & conditions on our website: www.squiver.com/terms-conditions/.
A special word about cancellation insurance... It is of course up to you to decide if you want to have insurance or not. However, the circumstances for cancelling a trip or breaking it off half way are hardly ever positive. In that case, it gives peace of mind to know that at least the costs of the trip are covered.
If you choose not to take out cancellation insurance upon booking a trip, you do so at your own risk. Under no circumstances is it correct to put pressure on Squiver to give a refund. Our terms & conditions are very clear on timings, and financial obligations for all parties concerned. In our experience, cancellation insurance solves a lot of discussion and problems. And helps to avoid a big financial risk when something goes wrong and you need to cancel your trip.
