This is the set up for one of the scenes in the Namibian Nights time lapse movie. I chose to work with artificial backlighting because of two reasons: it had never been done before, and the weather forecast had predicted fog and I knew that backlighting would create stunning shadow beams if that were indeed to happen. Luckily, fog did appear that night, and this eventually led to two the award-winning shots Resurrection and Ascension.
