Metate Arch is a pretty but hard to photograph natural rock arch in The Devil's Garden of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in south central Utah, USA. I didn't like most of the images that I had seen of this location because of the clutter that surrounds it.
When I was there myself, I therefore tried to compose it in a completely different way with an extreme wide angle, eliminating all distractions and focusing all the attention on the elegant lines and the interesting textures. I photographed the arch at night and used a flashlight to bring out those textures.
